The following weekend we spent mostly with my family. We managed to see both sides of the family and played many hours of Pitch, Some-R-Set, and Nertz. We also played a few games of Wise and Otherwise, one of the best group games I've ever played. I would highly recommend it.
The following picture shows some of the top quotes of the game. Read them at your own risk. There were LOTS of laughs.
We had our life group over around Christmas. Unfortunately one of the couples could not make it, but we had a great time playing Battle of the Sexes and Catch Phrase. I am so thankful for this group of people. It has been so great to be able to study God's Word and do life together.
Jeremy has been out of school on his last Christmas Break and he hasn't gotten much of a "break". We took on a few small house projects. The first was the laundry room. Before we did it, there was only the shelf and hanging rod that spanned the entire length. We needed a little more storage space so we added a cabinet with some cubbies and a folding surface over the washer and dryer. No more socks getting lost behind the washer and dryer and no more laundry monster on the guest bed!
Then Jeremy moved straight from that to the small closet under the basement stairs. We were burned out last year when we were at the end of finishing the basement and decided to hold off on finishing it. Well, now it's finished and although it's a small thing, I love that we have a little more storage. The games have been relocated to here which cleared up some room in the upstairs closet.
The final project on the list for a while includes using this door. We got it at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. It was love at first sight.
